Vedant Verma
MSc Information Systems
2025
Hi, I’m Vedant Verma, a software engineer based in Dublin. I made the same move many students from India are planning: I came to Ireland for my master’s and to build a career abroad. I completed my MSc in Information Systems at University College Dublin (2:1), after a B.Tech in Information Technology and 3+ years working as a software engineer in India. I’ve been through the whole journey first-hand: choosing a course and university, settling into a new country on my own, balancing studies with finances and part-time work, and navigating the job hunt in a competitive market. Having done it recently, I understand both the excitement and the challenges of starting over in a new place, and I’m always happy to share what I’ve learned with others making the same move.
